Duane Vincent, head basketball coach at RHS, In his first year at Rockdale, led the Tiger cagers to their second consecutive district 19AA championship.
Mr Vincent, his wife, four daughters, and one son moved here from Ketchikan, Alaska.
Mr Vincent, not having many 6'1" or taller boys to work with (none to be more specific), coached a hustling brand of basketball that seemed to do the job. The team had a 20 win, 12 loss season record, and a 9 win, 2 loss district record.
