Mr. Brumbelow was a retired instructor at the Naval Electronics School, Great Lakes, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father, A. W. (Buster) Brumbelow, Oct. 1, 1992.
Survivors include a son, Darby Blaine Brumbelow of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Bambi Lynne Miller of Summerville, South Carolina; his mother, Evangeline Brumbelow of Rockdale; two brothers, Richard (Ricky) Brumbelow of Austin and David T. Brumbelow of Rockdale.
Mr. Brumbelow was a U. S. Navy veteran.  He served in the Vietnam War and received five Good Conduct Medals.  He also received the National Defense and North Atlantic Expeditionary Medals.
Mr. Brumbelow was a 1965 graduate of Rockdale High School.

Evangeline "Sally" Brumbelow
June 22, 1920 - February 25, 2013

Funeral services for Evangeline "Sally" Brumbelow will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale, with Rev. Jack Chelf officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Sally was born on June 22, 1920 in Rockdale to James Howard and Mary Elizabeth (Ashley) Barnhouse. She was a life long resident of Rockdale and was a graduate of Rockdale High School.

She and Andrew Brumbelow were married on August 25, 1940 in Rockdale, and to this union 3 sons were born; Andrew Jr., Richard and David. She was a homemaker and had also worked for 12 years at McVoys Grocery as a clerk. Her favorite past time was working in the yard and going to the nursing home.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1931. She taught various classes in Sunday School for forty years. She especially loved to teach little children. She also taught classes in Women's Missionary Union, such as Girl's auxiliary, Sunbeams and Royal Ambassadors. She also taught boys and girls in Church training.

She was an active member of Womens Missionary Union and taught several years in Vacation Bible School. She was also a member of the Senior Adults who held Monday morning church services at Manor Oaks Nursing Center.

Sally passed away on Monday February 25, 2013 in the Manor Oaks Nursing home reaching the age of 92.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents; Her husband of 52 years, Andrew Brumbelow on Oct. 2, 1992; Son, Andrew Brumbelow, Jr.; Four brothers, Frank, Howard, Joel and Henry Barnhouse and a sister, Bertha Mae Haining.

Survivers include Richard Brumbelow and wife Brenda of Pflugerville and David Brumbelow and wife Lannette of Rockdale. Also special family members Billie Dell Brumbelow and Ruth Fisk. Her special grandson Dan; Two granddaughters, Shane and Donna DeAnn and two other grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to all of her Health care providers including Richards Memorial Hospital, Standards Hospice and Manor Oaks Nursing home.

Memorial services for Andrew W. Brumbelow Jr., 46, were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan 3, in the Phillips & Luckey Chapel with Rev. Morris Cook officiating.
Mr. Brumbelow died Tuesday, June 1, at his Rockdale home.  He was a Rockdale resident during the past year and had previously lived in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Cameron to Evangeline Barnhouse Brumbelow and the late Andrew “Buster” Brumbelow.
