Funeral services for Billy Charles Rogers, 48, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan 8, in the Phillips & Luckey Chapel with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Rev. Doug Springer and Jan Williams officiated.
Mr. Rogers died Wednesday, Jan 4, at his Houston home. He had resided in Houston for the past eight years.
He was born Nov. 2, 1946 in Cameron.
Mr. Rogers had been an automobile salesman for the past five years.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Gohman Cumbie of Rockdale,; his father, Alfred W. Rogers of Rockdale; a grandmother, Maggie Benson of Cedar Hill; two sisters, Karen E. Rogers of Brenham and Linda Kubiak of Giddings; nieces and nephews, Lynell, Keith, Laurie and Michelle Kubiak.
Pallbearers were Ronald Davenport, Travis Crim, James Harmon Morton, Gerald Morton, Thomas Doss, Charles Lee Edney, Steve Schlottman, Norman Ferguson and Gordon Matthews.
Mr. Rogers was a member of the Full Gospel Church.
He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1965, attended Blinn College and Southwest Texas State University and served in the United States Air Force.
