Funeral services for Billy Charles Rogers, 48, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan 8, in the Phillips & Luckey Chapel with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Rev. Doug Springer and Jan Williams officiated.
Mr. Rogers died Wednesday, Jan 4, at his Houston home.  He had resided in Houston for the past eight years.
He was born Nov. 2, 1946 in Cameron.
Mr. Rogers had been an automobile salesman for the past five years.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Gohman Cumbie of Rockdale,; his father, Alfred W. Rogers of Rockdale; a grandmother, Maggie Benson of Cedar Hill; two sisters, Karen E. Rogers of Brenham and Linda Kubiak of Giddings; nieces and nephews, Lynell, Keith, Laurie and Michelle Kubiak.
Pallbearers were Ronald Davenport, Travis Crim, James Harmon Morton, Gerald Morton, Thomas Doss, Charles Lee Edney, Steve Schlottman, Norman Ferguson and Gordon Matthews.
Mr. Rogers was a member of the Full Gospel Church.
He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1965, attended Blinn College and Southwest Texas State University and served in the United States Air Force.

Karen Evonne Rogers, 63 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Temple. Funeral services are currently pending.

Karen was born April 21, 1953 in Cameron, Texas to Alfred William and Helen Joyce (Gohman) Rogers. She enjoyed taking trips with her D & S family and spending time visiting with her mother.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred William “Shorty” Rogers on December 20, 2002; and by her brother, Billy Charles Rogers on January 4, 1995.

Karen is survived by her mother, Helen Joyce Cumbie; sister, Linda Kay Kubiak and husband Richard of Giddings; aunts, Jane Blackshear and husband Joe of Pflugerville and Marie Schlottman of Hearne; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family; and caretakers and special friends, Cindy Berg and Stacy Jones.
