Dear Wenda Jo,
It was very nice and thoughtful to hear from you regarding the Class of '65 reunion. I know it took an extra effort to locate me after all these years and it is appreciated. I was in Rockdale for a few days in March. We got together with my four sisters and came up with a surprise 80th Birthday Party for my mom. It turned out really nice with about 75-80 people I think and she really was surprised. Don't know how we pulled something like that off in Rockdale the way word sometimes can get around!! Ha!!
Anyway, back to the reunion...My wife has encouraged me to go ever since we got the dates from you. In recent weeks we (Florida) have been hit with several hurricanes. Our house was not damaged even though we only live eight miles from the ocean. Many areas of south and western Florida were really messed up. My wife (Ann) works for the Army Corps of Engineers and was deployed to Eckland Air Force Base near Pensacola to work with the recovery teams to assist clean up, etc. She may be deployed several more weeks and then have to deploy to south Florida. It appears that it may take a year to get everything back to near normal. Right now I am just on standby to see what happens and go to work everyday at the Naval Aviation Depot. (I retired from 20 years in the Marines and have been working ever since). In case anyone wants to know I have two grown sons and each have a son and a daughter. I am blessed with one daughter-in-law who is a second grade teacher in North Carolina and one who is a Registered Nurse. I try to get to Rockdale about once a year and still have my mom, one sister and about a dozen aunts and uncles that live there as well as dozens of cousins. Rockdale, Texas has more Mustons than anywhere else in the world according to the internet!! I know I am going to miss a good time at this reunion and the chance to try to guess who is who. I know we have all changed so much. Hopefully we will be around and able to do the 50th reunion and I will try my best to be there if we don't have four more hurricanes in Florida that year. You guys have fun...

Here is the most recent of the grands all together. April 2009 at our favorite place, Lake Royale, NC. We have a lake lot there and a 30' camper. It is our home away from home. Our boys both live in NC and we go there a lot. So about 4 years ago we bought a lot and put a camper on it so we could all congregate and visit. We are headed there today for the Memorial Day weekend. Our oldest grandson turns 9 on Monday. (May 22, 2009)
