From Facebook post from John Guillote:
From my nephew John Talbot Guillote about my brother (Jerry Guillote)

Dear friends and family
I apologize for the mass message, I  could not think of a way to get this news out in a timelier manner than by using the marvels of social media.
For those of you who havent already heard, I have just recently gotten the news that my father has been moved into hospice care this morning. He was diagnosed with a late stage aggressive cancer in early November, which he ardently chose to fight. His system, unfortunately, responded negatively to the chemo/radiation treatments so the doctors made the decision late last night to discontinue his second scheduled round of chemo. There are still many questions and I will be sure to keep you updated as news reaches me.
My hope is that each of you who have fond memories of him will please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. The good news is that he is comfortable, he loves his doctors, and is surrounded by family. Thanks to all of you for your support, it really means the world to us.

Jerry is going home this afternoon. the last chemo has caused the tumor to stop creating so much fluid, so he won't have the surgery right now for the chest tube. so that means we won't see him tonight for a phone call to you, but Terri is having all of us over tomorrow night - we will call you then. keep your fingers crossed - he hasn't been able to stay home for more than a day or so since his first pneumonia.
