76th Rockdale Homecoming event set Sunday, June 12, 2011
ROCKDALE — The 76th Rockdale Homecoming begins at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 in the Patterson Center.
A lunch catered by Lee’s Landing will be served at 12:30 p.m.
The Rockdale High School graduating class of 1961 will be recognized.
Judith Slusher, a member of that class, is this year’s homecoming association president.
The restored antique International and Great Northern Depot will be open to visitors during the weekend. Also, special displays, including one by Vickie Everhart, will be open the day of the homecoming.
Everyone is encouraged to come to the homecoming and welcome visitors who claim this community as many former residents return for the event, spokeswoman Dr. Lucile Estell said. Pre-registration is not necessary. Lunch is $10 per person, payable at the door.

The RHS Class of 1961 will help the Class of 1959 to celebrate its 60th-year reunion. Attempts have been made to contact all 1961 members. 50 YEARS—The Rockdale High School graduating class of 1961 was the 50-year honor class Saturday. Those attending included:
